CONCLUSION
In conclusion, among all things, the five major events that occurred in 1958 demonstrated the lack of willingness from countries to negotiate and communicate with one another. In the years to follow, tension among countries reached a boiling point, especially during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. Even though no missiles were launched, relationships among countries remained very heated. Only after Soviet institutions ceased operations on December 31, 1991 could the people of the world sleep peacefully without the fear of waking up to nuclear destruction.
